In this paper, the authors deal with the Cauchy problem for singularly perturbed linear inhomogeneous system of two equations, \[ \varepsilon\dot u = A(t)u+h(t) \] \[ u(0,\varepsilon)=u^0, \] where \(A,h\) are smooth functions on the interval \([0,T]\) and the eigenvalues of the matrix \(A(t)\) satisfy: \(\lambda_1(t)\neq\lambda_2(t)\) on \((0,T];\) \(\lambda_i(t)\neq0,\)\, \(\mathrm{Re}\,\lambda_i(t)\leq0\) on \([0,T],\) \(i=1,2;\) \(\lambda_1(t)-\lambda_2(t)=ta(t),\)\, \(a(t)\neq0\) on \([0,T].\) In this case the use of the standard regularization techniques brings some technical difficulties. That is the reason why the solution of this Cauchy problem is sought in the form of a formal series in \(\varepsilon\) and with consecutive approximations of the regularization function. The theory is illustrated by an example with \(\lambda_{1,2}(t)=-1\pm t,\) \(t\in[0,1].\)
