Consider polarized Enriques surfaces \((S,H)\), \(S\) a smooth Enriques surface and \(H\) an ample line bundle on \(S\). Fixing the sectional genus \(g\), such that \(H^2=2g-2\), and the invariant \(\phi\), the minimal value of \(E\cdot H\) for \(E>0\) effective of zero self intersection, one can construct the moduli \({\mathcal E}_{g,\phi}\) of such pairs \((S,H)\), and the moduli \({\mathcal E}{\mathcal C}_{g,\phi}\) of triplets \((S,H,C)\) such that \((S,H) \in {\mathcal E}_{g,\phi}\) and \(C \in |H|\) is smooth. The morphism \({\mathcal X}_{g,\phi}: {\mathcal E}{\mathcal C}_{g,\phi} \to {\mathcal R}_g\) to the moduli \({\mathcal R}_g\) of Prym curves is sending \((S,H,C)\) to \((C,\omega_S \otimes {\mathcal O}_C)\) and the projection \(c_{g,\phi}: {\mathcal E}{\mathcal C}_{g,\phi} \to {\mathcal M}_g\) goes to the moduli \({\mathcal M}_g\) of genus \(g\) curves. In the paper under review, a complete picture of the dimension of the general fibers of these maps is presented (see Theorems 1 to 3 for details). As a first corollary of this picture, which general curves of genus \(g\) lie on an Enriques surface and which do not are determined, see Corollary 1.1. As a second corollary, see Corollary 1.2, the list of possible components of the moduli spaces for pairs \((S,H|_S)\) such that \(S\) does not contain any smooth rational curve and such that there exists a normal polarized 3-fold \((X,H)\) different from a cone with \(S \in |H|\) are presented.
