Following a similar method as in \textit{R.~S.\ Pathak} and \textit{A.~B.\ Pandey} [Appl.\ Anal.\ 20, 245--268 (1985; Zbl 0585.46034)], the authors define the Fourier--Hankel transform in the spaces \(FH_{\mu,ak,ak^\prime}\), \(FH_{\mu,ak,A,ak^\prime,A^\prime}\), \(\ldots\), when \(\mu\geq -1/2\), and generalize the transform in the dual spaces. They prove that the generalized Fourier--Hankel transform \(fh_\mu\) is a continuous linear mapping from the space \(FH_{\mu,ak,A,ak^\prime,A^\prime}^{bq,B,bq^\prime,B^\prime}\) into the space \(FH_{\mu,bk,B,ak^\prime,bk^\prime,A_1^\prime}^{aq,A,aq^{\prime^2},B_1^\prime}\) and give an inversion formula. As an application, a differential equation of the form \(P(D_x,S_{\mu,y})u=g\) is solved by using the Fourier--Hankel transformation. Unfortunately, the paper contains quite a few misprints.
