It is studied the existence of global solutions for an initial-value problem associated to a generalized Burgers equation. The initial data is considered in homogeneous Sobolev spaces. If, in addition, the initial data belongs to a suitable homogeneous Sobolev space \(L^{p,s}\) (for \(s>-1\) and \(p>1\)) the obtained solution belongs to \(L^\infty ([0, \infty),L^{p,s}).\) In this note Zahrouni extends the previous results of \textit{F. Ribaud} [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 3, 305-316 (1997; Zbl 0949.35065); Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 14, 1-46 (1998; Zbl 0910.35065)] to a more large class of less regular data for which there exists global solution. The starting point of this work is the construction of one homogeneous Besov space with negative regularity. The author is inspired by recent results of \textit{H. Koch} and \textit{D. Tataru} [Adv. Math. 157, 22-35 (2001; Zbl 0972.35084)] on the well-posedness for the Navier-Stokes equations in \(\mathbb{R}^3\), where the authors have considered data for which are first derivatives in the John-Nirenberg class of bounded mean oscillation functions.
