Functional intervals are applied to the computation of the response of a linear time-invariant system under fuzzy input. A fuzzy input can be interpreted either as parametric uncertainty or as functional uncertainty. In the first case the solution can be obtained straightforwardly or by means of current interval methods to reduce overbounding. Functional intervals are shown to be a suitable tool to deal with functional uncertainty, which is more sensible in a practical problem. By means of Aumann's integral from set-valued analysis, the state equation is solved and an approximation of arbitrary precision of the system trajectory envelopes is computed. An error analysis is also carried out on the examples.
