Generalized AG codes and generalized duality (Q1870030)

The author defines residual generalized AG codes as a dual notion to the generalized functional AG codes of \textit{C. P. Xing, H. Niederreiter}, and \textit{K. Y. Lam} [IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 45, 2498-2501 (1999; Zbl 0956.94023)]. (Similar results appear in \textit{A. Heydtmann} [Commun. Algebra 30, 2763-2789 (2002; Zbl 1014.94015)] using Weil differentials.) Then the author extends results of \textit{H. Stichtenoth} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 55, 199-211 (1988; Zbl 0654.94017)] to give criteria for when a generalized AG code is self-orthogonal or self-dual. Finally, many examples are given.
