The main result of this paper is that under several conditions the code is ultimately periodic (it means that the code is periodic without first finite terms) if and only if the relative number (represented in its \(h\)- adic representation) is rational. It is an interesting application of the author's recent results concerning the irrationality of special sequences in coding theory.
