    The author investigates the stability of the linear differential equation with several delays \[ \dot x(t) = \alpha x(t) - \sum^m_{k = 1} b_k x \bigl( t - r_k (t) \bigr), \quad t \geq 0. \tag{1} \] She shows that a certain comparison strategy developed for the particular case \(m = 1\) by \textit{T. Amemiya} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 142, No. 1, 13-25 (1989; Zbl 0708.34068)] is applicable to the more general situation of equation (1), and obtains an analytic description of the stability domain of (1).
