    A 7-dimensional smooth manifold \(M\) is said to have a \(G_2\)-structure if there is a reduction of the structure group of its frame bundle from \(\mathrm{GL}(7,\mathbb R)\) to the exceptional Lie group \(G_2 \subset \mathrm{SO}(7)\). In this paper it is proved that a 7-dimensional solvmanifold cannot admit any left-invariant special (calibrated) \(G_2\)-structure such that the induced metric \(g\) is Einstein, unless this metric is flat. A calibrated \(G_2\)-structure can be viewed as the \(G_2\)-analog of an almost-Kähler structure in almost Hermitian geometry. A classification of 6-dimensional solvmanifolds admitting a left-invariant (non-flat) Kähler-Einstein structure is obtained. An example of a 7-dimensional solvmanifold is given admitting a left-invariant calibrated \(G_2\)-structure such that the induced metric \(g\) is Ricci-soliton. Also it is shown that a 7-dimensional non-flat Einstein solvmanifold \((S,g)\) cannot admit any left-invariant cocalibrated \(G_2\) -structure such that the induced metric equals to \(g\).
