    Let \(A = \begin{bmatrix} a & b \\ c & d \end{bmatrix} \) be such that det\(A = 1.\) Let \(\psi \in L^2(\mathbb R) \setminus \{0 \}.\) The windowed linear canonical transform (WLCT) of \(f \in L^2 (\mathbb R)\) with respect to \(\psi\) is defined by \[ G_{\psi}^A(f) ( w, u) = \int_{\mathbb R}~f(x)~\overline{\psi_{w, u}^A(x)}~dx \quad (w, u) \in \mathbb R^2, \] where \[ \psi_{w, u}^A(x) = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2 \pi |b|}}~e^{\frac{-i}{2}(\frac{ax^2}{b}- \frac{2xw}{b}+ \frac{dw^2}{b}-\frac{\pi}{4})}~\psi(x- u) \quad b \neq 0. \] Several uncertainty principles for this transform are proved. In particular, Shapiro's dispersion theorem for \(G_\psi^A\) is proved. Let \[ \rho_p (G_\psi^A(f)) = \left ( \int_\mathbb R~\int_\mathbb R~|(w, u)|^p~|G_\psi^A(f)(w, u)|^2~dwdu \right )^{\frac{1}{p}}. \] Then, for any orthonormal sequence \(\{ \phi_j \}_{j =1}^N\) we have \[ \sum_{j =1}^N~\rho_p^p( G_\phi^A( \psi_j)) \geq N^{1 + \frac{p}{2}}~ \left ( \frac{2|b|}{C_p~\| \psi\|^2_2} \right )^{\frac{p}{2}}, \] for some constant \(C_p.\) Boundedness of localization operators associated with WLCT are also studied.
