The paper under review deals with the following question: Let \(T\) be the right triangle with vertices \((0,0), (\frac{c}{a},0), (0,\frac{c}{b})\) for some integers \(a<b\leq c\) with \(\gcd(a,b)=1\), what is the number of integral points in \(T\)? One possible way to approach this question is the celebrated theorem of Pick. The authors suggest an alternative approach, considering the numerical semigroup \(S = \{ n_1 a+ n_2b \, : \, n_1, n_2 \in \mathbb{N}\}\). The main result is a formula in terms of \(a,b,c\) answering the question above.
