A modified version of the algebraic entropy \(h_{\mathrm{alg}}\) for continuous endomorphisms of locally compact groups has been given by \textit{S. Virili} [Topology Appl. 159, No. 9, 2546--2556 (2012; Zbl 1243.22007)]. This approach allows one to work with endomorphisms instead of automorphisms. In the present paper, for a locally compact abelian group \(G\), the author denotes its Pontryagin dual group by \(\widehat{G}\), and for a continuous endomorphism \(\phi: G\rightarrow G\) its dual endomorphism is \(\widehat{\phi}: \widehat{G}\rightarrow \widehat{G}\). The author is interested in generalizing the Bridge Theorem given by [\textit{D. Dikranjan} and the author, Topology Appl. 169, 21--32 (2014; Zbl 1322.37007)]. The author proves two versions of the Bridge Theorem. The first theorem is: Theorem. Let \(S\) be an infinite monoid, \(s = (F_i)_{i\in I}\) a net of non-empty finite subsets of \(S\) such that \(|F_i|\rightarrow \infty\) and \(1\in F_i\) for every \(i\in I\), \(G\) a totally disconnected locally compact abelian group, and consider the left action \(S \overset{\gamma }{\curvearrowright } G\). Then \(h^{s}_{\mathrm{top}}(\gamma) =h^{s}_{\mathrm{alg}}(\widetilde{\gamma})\). The second theorem is: Theorem. Let \(S\) be a finitely generated monoid, \(\Gamma\) a regular system of \(S\), \(G\) a totally disconnected locally compact abelian group, and consider the left action \(S \overset{\gamma }{\curvearrowright } G\). Then \(\widetilde{h}^{\Gamma}_{\mathrm{top}}(\gamma)=\widetilde{h}^{\Gamma}_{\mathrm{alg}}(\widetilde{\gamma})\).
