After a literature survey on the so-called Minkowski problem, the dual Minkowski problem for even data is introduced and solved, namely necessary and sufficient conditions on a prescribed even measure on the unit sphere for it to be the \(q\)-th dual curvature measure of an origin-symmetric convex body in an \(n\)-dimensional Euclidean space are provided when \(1 < q < n\) via a variational approach where the involved functional is the sum of a dual quermassintegral and an entropy integral. The proof of this result is fragmented in several lemmata, some of which being of interest on their own. Moreover, some results from the literature are extended.
