    Let \({\mathcal U}, {\mathcal F}\) be sequentially complete locally convex linear topological spaces, let \(L : {\mathcal U} \to {\mathcal F}\) be a linear continuous operator and let \(M : {\mathcal U} \to {\mathcal F}\) be a linear closed densely defined operator. The author considers the Cauchy problem \[ u(0)=u_0\eqno(1) \] for the differential equation \[ L {\dot u}(t) = M u(t).\eqno(2) \] Supposing that \(M\) is a \((L, \sigma)\)-regular operator, the author constructs a strongly holomorphic group of equation (2). He proves that the range of this group is the phase space of equation (2) and he studies the solvability of the equation \(L {\dot u}(t) = M u(t) + f(t)\).
