    The main purpose of the paper is to prove that an isolated singularity of a smooth solution \((u,p)\) of the stationary Navier-Stokes equations \[ -\Delta u + \text{div} (u\otimes u) + \nabla p = f\text{ and div\,}u = 0\text{ in }B_R\setminus\{0\}\tag{1} \] (where \(B_R = \{x\in\mathbb R^n: |x| < R\})\) is removable. Precisely, the main theorem states: If \((u,p)\) is a \(C^\infty\)-solution of (1) in \(B_R\setminus\{0\}\) and \(f\in C^\infty(B_R)\) and \[ u\in L^n(B_R)\text{ or }|u(x)| = o(|x|^{-1})\text{ as }x\to 0, \] then \((u,p)\) can be defined at 0 so that it is a \(C^\infty\)-solution of \((1)\) in \(B_R\).
