During the last two decades there has been progress in the investigation of Monge-Ampére type equations generalizing the classical results of Jörgens, Pogorelov, Calabi, and others in connection with the so called affine Bernstein problems. The solution of the Bernstein conjecture of Chern is due to \textit{N. S. Trudinger} and \textit{X. Wang} [Invent. Math. 140, No.~2, 399--422 (2000; Zbl 0978.53021)], the solution of the Calabi conjecture due to \textit{A. M. Li} and \textit{F. Jia} [Result. Math. 40, No.~1-4, 265--272 (2001; Zbl 0999.53009)]. In this interesting paper, the author extends the results on Bernstein properties, characterizing the elliptic paraboloid.
