Deformation in locally convex topological linear spaces (Q2386542)

The aim of this paper is to construct a deformation theory for indefinite functionals on locally convex topological vector spaces. To this end, the existence of a suitable partition of unity is studied. It is then established the existence, uniqueness and dependence continuously on the initial data of flows associated to some vector fields modelling the pseudo-gradient vector fields. Finally, some deformation theorems and applications to abstract minimax results in critical point theory are presented.
