    Let \(G\) be an abelian group and \(M\) a pre-Hilbert \(C^*\)-module. The authors show that if a function \(f : G \to M\) satisfies the inequality \[\langle f (x) + f (y), f (x) + f (y)\rangle\leq \langle f (x + y), f (x + y)\rangle,\qquad (x,y \in G)\] then \(f\) is additive. In addition, they prove the stability problem associated with the above functional inequality.
