The study offers some generalization of well-known important concepts of fuzzy mappings such as differentiability, convexity and generalized convexity along with an idea of the minimization of fuzzy mappings. The generic formulation of the optimization problem comes in the form \[ \text{Minimize}\quad f^\sim(x),\quad\text{subject to }x\in \Omega, \] where \(f^\sim\) is a fuzzy mapping, \(f^\sim: \Omega\subseteq\mathbb{R}^n\to F\) denotes a family of fuzzy numbers defined in \(\mathbb{R}\). Differentiability aspects of \(f^\sim\) are studied by considering both the gradient and directional derivative of the mapping. Offered are necessary and sufficient conditions for a differentiable fuzzy mapping to be convex. The sufficient optimality conditions for constrained. fuzzy minimization problem are also provided.
