The principal result in this paper is the existence of global smooth Chebyshev nets on complete, simply connected surfaces when the total absolute curvature is bounded by \(2\pi\). The authors follow the methods used in other related papers and they get to improve their results by adding some arguments to relaxing the constraints on the integral of the Gaussian curvature.
