In the work [the first and the third author, ``BRST theory without Hamiltonian and Lagrangian'', J. High Energy Phys. 2005 Paper No. 011, 22 p. (2005)], a general geometric set-up for an arbitrary gauge system was described. This construction gives rise to a weak Poisson bracket and it is recalled in Sections 2 and 3. In the paper [\textit{H. M. Khudaverdian} and \textit{Th. Th. Voronov}, in: Geometric methods in physics. Proceedings of the XXVII workshop on geometric methods in physics, 2008. Melville, NY: American Institute of Physics (AIP). 203--215 (2008; Zbl 1166.70011)] ``an explicit construction was given to canonically lift a homotopy Poisson structure to an odd homotopy Poisson structure on the odd tangent bundle''. In Section 4, this construction is applied, namely the even homotopy Poisson structure generated by a master function is lifted to the odd tangent bundle of this extended manifold. Moreover, a weak Koszul bracket corresponding to the lift of the weak Poisson bracket is defined, and some properties of the projectible differential forms are given. In Section 5, the following examples of weak Poisson systems are provided: invertible upper triangular matrices, the Heisenberg group and Jacobi manifolds.
