Quillen's algebraic \(K\)-theory of a ring was identified by Wagoner with the homotopy of a certain \(CW\)-complex built by exploiting the combinatorics of the root system \(A\). For rings with involution, Solovyov and Nemytov constructed an analog of Wagoner's complex based on the root system \(C\), and proved its equivalence to the Hermitian analog of Quillen's \(K\)-theory. In paper under review the author constructs a similar complex built from the root system \(D\), and shows that for the even orthogonal group the homotopy of this complex is isomorphic to Wagoner's \(K_*^{BN}\) theory.
