Let \(R\) be a commutative noetherian local ring. Denote the category of finitely generated modules by \(\text{mod}R\) and the bounded derived category of \(\text{mod}R\) by \(D^{b}(R).\) Let \(\text{Nesc}R\) be the set of nonempty specialization-closed subsets of \(\text{Spec}R.\) The support of \(M\) in \(\text{mod}R\) is the set of prime ideals \(P\) of \(R\) such that \(0\neq M_P\in R/P,\) which is denoted by \(\text{supp}_RM.\) The paper mainly study classifying thick subcategories of \(\text{mod}R\) and the bounded derived category \(D^{b}(R)\) for a local ring with an isolated singularity. In Section 3,4,5, the author gives one of main result of this paper. Let \(R\) is a local ring with residue field \(k\) and \(R\) have an isolated singularity. For \(0\neq M\in\text{mod}R,\) if one of the three conditions is satisfied, 1) \(M\) is locally free on the punctured spectrum of \(R\), 2) \(R\) has (Krull) dimension at most two, 3) \(R\) has prime characteristic and \(M\) is (not necessarily maximal) Cohen-Macaulay, then the following equality holds \[ \text{thick}_{\text{mod}R}\{k,m\}=\text{thick}_{\text{mod}R}\{R/p\mid p\in \text{supp}_RM\}. \] In Section 6, the author gives the other main result of this paper, i.e., Theorem 6.3. The author gives a classification theorem of thick subcategories of the triangulated category \(D^{b}(R).\) Suppose that \(R\) is a local rings with an isolated singularity and \(X\) is a nonacyclic bounded complex of \(R\)-modules, then the following equality holds \[ \text{thick}_{D^{b}(R)}\{k,X\}=\text{thick}_{D^{b}(R)}\{R/p\mid p\in \text{supp}_RX\}. \] In Section 7,8,9, the author gives some applications of the two main results.
