The paper studies the problem of scattering by potential and by magnetic field with two compact supports. Specifically, the author discusses the asymptotic behavior of the time delay for this problem as the separation of supports goes to infinity. One of the goals is to compare the asymptotic formulae for the two cases, potential and magnetic scattering. The analysis is performed in \(\mathbb{R}^2\) taking advantage of the special topological features of the two dimensional space.
