Consider the two-dimensional systems \[ \dot{x}=-y+P(x,y), \dot{y}=x+Q(x,y,r) \] \[ \dot{x}=y+P(x,y), \dot{y}=Q(x,y,r) \] where \(P\) and \(Q\) are polynomials with terms of degree \(3\). The authors consider Hamiltonian systems of these form and with a center at the origin. They present normal forms and the global phase portrait of these systems. The Poincaré compactification of polynomial vector fields is used.
