Sufficient conditions on the existence and uniqueness of T-periodic solutions for the first order neutral functional differential equation of the form \[ (x(t)+Bx(t,\tau(t))'=g^{1}(t,x((t))+g^{2}(t,x(t-\tau(t)))+p(t), \] are established. An example illustrating the results is given.
