The authors study the topological classes of \({\mathbb Z}_{p}^{r}\)-actions as group of conformal automorphisms of closed Riemann surfaces. This description is provided by dividing the situation into (i) free actions and (ii) non-free action with quotient orbifold of genus zero. Concrete examples are worked in order to show how the method works.
