Let \(X\) be a metrizable compact topological \(n\)-manifold (\(n\geq 2\)) with (or without) boundary. Given a metric \(d\) which is compatible with the topology of \(X\), we denote by \(H(X)\) (respectively by \(C(X)\)) the set of all homemomorphisms from \(X\) onto itself (respectively, of all continuous functions from \(X\) into itself) endowed with the supremum metric associated to \(d\). Following the author's notation, given a Baire space \(B\), we say that ``most elements of \(B\)'' satisfy a certain property \(P\) if the set of all \(x\in B\) that do not satisfy \(P\) is of the first category in \(B\). In Part II [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 133, No. 12, 3473--3483 (2005; Zbl 1073.37013)], the author proved that if \(\mu\) is any finite positive Borel measure on \(X\), then most functions in \(C(X)\) are nonsensitive \(\mu\)-almost everywhere on \(X\). In the paper under review the author generalizes this result to \(H(X)\). The techniques used permit to obtain the following result which has interest in itself: if \(\mu\) is any finite positive Borel measure on \(X\), then for most functions \(f\in H(X)\), \(\mu (\Omega_{f})=0\) (as usual, here \(\Omega_{f}\) stands for the set of all nonwandering points of \(f\)). Part I, cf. the author, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 130, No. 7, 1983--1992 (2002; Zbl 0993.37008).
