Cohomology and deformations of graded Lie algebras \(\mathfrak g=\bigoplus_{i=1}^{\infty }\mathfrak g_i\) such that \(\dim \mathfrak g_i=1\) and \([\mathfrak g_1, \mathfrak g_i]=\mathfrak g_{i+1}\) is of interest in connection with many problems in mathematics. The classification of such algebras was obtained by Fialowski and later by Shalev and Zelmanov. Namely, there are only three algebras up to isomprphism \(\mathfrak m_0, \mathfrak m_2\) and \(L_1\), where \(L_1\) is the first term of the standard filtration on Lie algebra \(W_1\) consisting of polynomial vector fields in one variable, \(\mathfrak m_0\) is given by unique nontrivial relations between homogeneous basic vectors \([e_1, e_i]=e_{i+1}, ~i\geq 2\), and \(\mathfrak m_2\) by relations \([e_1, e_i]=e_{i+1}, ~i\geq 2, ~[e_2, e_j]=e_{j+2}, ~j\geq 3.\) In the paper cohomology groups \(H^i(\mathfrak m_0, \mathfrak m_0), ~i=1,2\) are calculated. It is shown that with respect to the standard grading in cohomology \[ \dim H_l^1(\mathfrak m_0, \mathfrak m_0)=\begin{cases} 1, &\text{for \(l\geq 1\)}\\ 2, &\text{for \(l=0\)}\\ 0, &\text{for \(l\leq -1\)}. \end{cases} \] In contrast, \(\dim H_l^2(\mathfrak m_0, \mathfrak m_0)=\infty \) for all \(l\in \mathbb Z.\) The authors investigate Massey products to obtain integrable cocycles giving true deformations. All cohomology classes leading to true deformations in weights \(l\leq 1\) are found. For weights \(l\geq 2\) it is shown that there are at least two true deformations.
