The authors obtains some interesting intermediate inequalities which interpolate between the logarithmic Sobolev and Poincaré inequalities. In addition, by using the fact that a given probability measure gives rise to logarithmic Sobolev inequality, the generalized Poincaré inequalities are derived and discussed.
