The author proves the following result: If \(X\) is an \(n\)-dimensional Stein manifold, if \(M \subset X \) is a smooth closed connected generic CR manifold with trivial normal bundle and if \(M\) is weakly \(q\)-pseudoconcave, then \(H^{p,s}_{c} (M) = 0 \) for \( 0\leq p \leq n\), \( s \leq q -1\). As a consequence, she can show that the following Hartogs-type extension result holds: If \(X\) is a Stein manifold, if \(M \subset X\) is a smooth closed connected generic CR-manifold with trivial normal bundle, if \(D \subset M\) is an open set, if \(M\) is weakly 2-pseudoconcave, \(K \subset D\) is a compact subset and \(D \backslash K\) is connected, if, moreover, \(M \backslash K\) is minimal, then every smooth CR-function on \(D \backslash K\) extends to a smooth CR function on \(D\).
