Singular value decomposition Geršgorin sets (Q2502886)

The aim of this note is to introduce and study the singular value decomposition Geršgorin set, denoted here by \(\Gamma^{\text{SV}}(A)\), of a finite or infinite square complex matrix \(A\). The most interesting case is when the order is infinite, where \(\Gamma^{\text{SV}}(A)\) is defined in terms of the entries of the singular value decomposition of a compact operator \(A\) on a separable Hilbert space. Some examples and applications are provided.
