Dimensions of fixed point sets of involutions (Q2505191)

This paper shows that if \((M,T)\) is an involution having fixed set \(F^n\cup F^2\) with \(n\) \(\geq 3\) odd and \(F^2\) with its normal bundle is nonbounding then \(\dim M\leq n+3.\) If the cobordism class of \(F^2\) and its normal bundle are specified one is given the best possible bound for \(\dim M.\)
