The authors try to fit \(k\)-spheres to point data in \(n\)-D Euclidean spaces (with particular focus on spheres, circles and point-pairs in 3D). These fits are based on an approximate criterion that is algebraically convenient. The resulting optimal fitting procedure can easily be implemented using a standard linear algebra package.
