The paper deals with the asymptotic behaviour of the solutions of the following differential-difference equation \[ u_t = \Delta u + \sum_{h \in M} a_h u(x-h,t), \] where \(M\) is a finite set of vectors in \(\mathbb R^n\) parallel to coordinate axes. The author obtains results on the Cauchy problem as \(t \to \infty\) and considers the difference compared with the case when there is no delay.
