For a fixed \(\alpha>0\), let \(X=((0,\infty), d\nu=x^\alpha dx)\) with the Euklidean distance \(d(x,y)=|x-y|\), which is a space of homogeneous type in the sense of Coifman and Weiss. Let \(H^1(X)\) be the Hardy space on the space of homogeneous type \(X\). Let \(\mathcal Hf\) be the modified Hankel (Fourier-Bessel) transform defined by \(\mathcal H f(\lambda)=\int_{0}^{\infty}f(x)\phi_\lambda(x)d\nu(x)\), where \(\phi_\lambda(x)=2^{(\alpha-1)/2}\Gamma((\alpha+1)/2) (\lambda x)^{-(\alpha-1)/2}J_{(\alpha-1)/2}(\lambda x)\) The authors show the following: Assume \(\sup_{t>0}\|\eta(\cdot)m(t\,\cdot)\|_{W^{2,\beta}(\mathbb R)}\leq C_\eta\) for some \(\beta>(\alpha+1)/2\) and every \(\eta\in C_c^\infty(1/2,2))\), where \(W^{2,\beta}\) denotes the standard Sobolev norm. Then the multiplier operator \(S_m f(x):=c_\alpha^{-2}\mathcal H(m(\,\cdot\,)\mathcal H f(\,\cdot\,))(x)\) is bounded on \(H^1(X)\). To prove this, they use a maximal function characterization of \(H^1(X)\) in \textit{J. J. Betancor, J. Dziubański} and \textit{J. L. Torrea}, J. Anal. Math. 107, 195--219 (2009; Zbl 1195.44023)].
