For a product of independent identically distributed \(C^2\) diffeomorphisms of a compact Riemannian manifold \(M\) the identity \[ h_{\mu}=\int\Sigma \lambda^+_i(x)m_i(x)d\mu(x) \] is derived, where \(\mu\) is an invariant probability measure for the associated Markov operator, which is assumed to be absolutely continuous with respect to the Lebesgue measure on \(M\), \(h_\mu\) is the (relative) entropy of the product of diffeomorphisms, and \(\lambda_i\) are the Lyapunov exponents with multiplicities \(m_i\) associated with \(\mu\). This result is also proved in [\textit{P.-D. Liu} and \textit{M. Qian}, `Smooth ergodic theory of random dynamical systems' (Lect. Notes Math. 1606, Springer Verlag, Berlin) (1995; Zbl 0841.58041)]; the paper coincides, in large parts verbatim, with Chapter IV and parts of Chapter V.
