This paper presents qualitative analysis of a diffusive SEIR epidemic model with linear external source and asymptomatic infection in heterogeneous environment. The compartmental model can be described by a set of equations as follows: \(\dot{S}-D_S\Delta S=\Lambda(x)-(\beta_1(x)E+\beta_2(x)I)S/(S+E+I+R)-d_SS\), \(\dot{E}-D_E\Delta E=(\beta_1(x)E+\beta_2(x)I)S/(S+E+I+R)-d_EE-\sigma E\), \(\dot{I}-D_I\Delta I=\sigma E-d_II-\gamma(x)I\), \(\dot{R}-D_R\Delta R=\gamma(x)I-d_RR\), and \(\partial S/\partial n=\partial E/\partial n=\partial I/\partial n=\partial R/\partial n=0\) over the boundary, where the dots are relevant to time \(t\), \(S(x,t)\), \(E(x,t)\), \(I(x,t)\), \(R(x,t)\) are the density of susceptible, exposed, infected and recovered agents with respect to location \(x\) and time \(t\). The parameters used here include \(D_S, D_E, D_I, D_R\) meaning the respective diffusion coefficients, \(d_S, d_E, d_I, d_R\) meaning the respective mortality rates. The functions \(\Lambda(x),\beta_1(x),\beta_2(x),\gamma(x)\) are the external resource replenishment rate, the transmission rates of the disease and recovery rate depending on location \(x\) respectively. \(\sigma\) is the inverse of incubation period. The uniform boundedness of the solutions is studied together with an analysis of the basic reproduction number. The paper also analyzes the global stability of the endemic equilibrium in homogeneous environment.
