    The authors study the existence of solutions of the semilinear parabolic equation \[ \partial_t u -\Delta u = u^p+\Lambda \] in \(D'(\mathbb R^N\times I)\). Here \(N\ge 2, p > 1, (N - 2)p < N\) and \(I\subset \mathbb R\) is an open interval. It is assumed that \(\Lambda\in D'(\mathbb R^N\times I)\) is supported on \(\{(\xi(t), t)\in \mathbb R^N+1; t\in I\}\) for some \(\xi\in C^{1/2}(\bar{I} ; \mathbb R^N)\) and is given by \(\Lambda (\varphi) =\int_I\varphi(\xi(t),t)d\mu(t)\), where \(\mu\) is a Radon measure on \(I\) satisfying \(\mu((a, b)) \le\phi(b-a)\) \((a, b \in I )\) for some positive function \(\phi(\eta)\). In the case where \(I\) is bounded, the authors give conditions on the behavior of \(\phi(\eta)\) near \(\eta = 0\) for the existence and nonexistence of solutions. The existence for \(I = \mathbb R\) is also shown under additional conditions on \(p\) and the behavior of \(\phi(\eta)\) near \(\eta=\infty\). Moreover, the singularity of solutions at \(x = \xi(t)\) is examined.
