The main result of this paper is the following. Let \(n\) be a positive integer. Define \(b\) to be the maximum of the numbers \(m+mv_ \wp(m)\), where \(\wp\) ranges over all primes of \(\mathbb{K}\) and \(m\in\{1,2,\dots,n\}\). Let \(\mathbb{L}\) be a \(\mathbb{K}\)-algebra of dimension \(n\) and let \(\alpha\in\mathbb{L}\). If there is an integer \(a\geq b\) such that \(\text{Tr}_{\mathbb{L}/\mathbb{K}}(\alpha^ i)\in A\), for all \(i\) with \(a- n<i\leq a\), then \(\alpha\) is integral over \(A\). A consequence of the above result is, that if \(\alpha\) is an algebraic number of degree \(n\) over \(\mathbb{Q}\) and the trace of \(\alpha^ i\) lies in \(\mathbb{Z}\) for all positive \(i\) up to \(n+n\log_ 2 n\), then \(\alpha\) is an algebraic integer.
