The operator considered here is symmetric in weighted \(L^2\)-spaces with the weight \(|x|^{2\gamma}\) for large \(x,\gamma>0\) and corresponds to Neumann problems for the Poisson equation \(-\Delta u=f\) in a domain \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) with \(N\) cylindrical outlets, \(\partial_\nu u=0\) on \(\partial\Omega\). The purpose of this paper is to describe the solutions to the problem within the theory of selfadjoint extensions of the operator. The results are then applied to some examples in mathematical physics.
