The aim of this paper is to characterize isomorphisms of Bernstein algebras as bijective linear applications keeping idempotent elements and elements of zero product. The main result is the following: Let \(A\) and \(A'\) be two Bernstein algebras over the field \(K\) and let \(\theta: A\to A'\) be a bijective linear application satisfying the following two conditions: (1) \(E(A)\) and \(E(A')\) being the sets of their idempotent elements, \(\theta(E(A)) \subset \theta(E(A'))\); (2) If \(x,y\in A\) and \(xy=0\), then \(\theta(x)\theta(y) =0\). Then \(\theta\) is an isomorphism of Bernstein algebras. The converse is trivial.
