    In [Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 73, No. 2, 307--317 (2006; Zbl 1104.47053)], the authors introduced the following notion of generalized \(f\)-projection operator: Let \(B\) be a Banach space and \(B^{*}\) be its dual. Let \(K\) be a nonempty, closed and convex subset of \(B\). It is said that \(\pi_{K}^{f} : B^{*} \rightarrow K\) is a generalized \(f\)-projection operator if \[ \pi_{K}^{f} \varphi = \{u\in K : G(\varphi, u) = \inf_{y\in K} G(\varphi, y)\quad \text{for all }\varphi \in B^*. \] Further properties of such operators are established in the paper under review. It is considered the following generalized set-valued quasi-variational inequality problem: find \(\overline{x}\in K\) and \(\overline{g}\in A \overline{x}\) such that \[ \langle\overline{g}, y - \overline{x}\rangle + f(y) - f(\overline{x}) \geq 0\quad \text{for all }y\in K, \tag{1} \] where \(K\) is a nonempty closed convex subset of a Banach space \(B\), \(A : K \rightarrow 2^{B^{*}}\) and \(f : K \rightarrow (-\infty, +\infty)\). It is also considered a generalized set-valued quasi-variational inequality problem: find \(\overline{x}\in K\) and \(\overline{g}\in A \overline{x}\) such that \[ \begin{cases} \overline{x} \in F(\overline{x}), \\ \langle\overline{g}, y - \overline{x}\rangle + f(y) - f(\overline{x}) \geq 0\quad \text{for all }y\in F(\overline{x}) ,\end{cases} \tag{2} \] with \(F : K \rightarrow 2^{B}\). New existence theorems for these inequalities in reflexive and smooth Banach spaces are established. Remark. The quality of the paper is decreased by several essential misprints in the text.
