Dynamical properties of rotations \(x\mapsto x+a\) and multiplications \(x\mapsto ax\) on the ring of \(p\)-adic integers with respect to the Haar measure have been studied by \textit{Z. Coelho} and \textit{W. Parry} [in: Topology, ergodic theory, real algebraic geometry. Rokhlin's memorial. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (AMS). 51--70 (2001; Zbl 0985.11008)] and others. The author has studied the same maps with respect to other measures, and in particular has shown that in most situations the maps are singular with respect to natural classes of measures other than Haar [New York J. Math. 20, 799--812 (2014; Zbl 1305.37005)]. Here the ergodic theory of these systems is further advanced by studying the orbit equivalence classes in the infinite measure cases, and in particular type-III examples are constructed.
