Let \(R\) be a commutative ring with identity. Spec\((R)\) which denotes the collection of all prime ideals of \(R\) is equipped with the hull-kernel topology with respect to the Zariski Topology. Min\((R)\) denotes the collection of the minimal prime ideals of \(R\). The authors of this article were interested in studying rings via their space of minimal prime ideals. They were able to identify several interesting types of extensions of rings such as the notions of quasi rigid, quasi \(r\), and quasi \(r^*\)-extensions. In particular, they determined what kind of ring extensions will result in a homeomorphisms of the hull-kernel and inverse topologies on the minimal prime spectra. They relate these types of extensions to other known types of extensions.
