The book is devoted to a systematic construction of possible non-differentiable Lyapunov functions. Peculiar motions such as sliding models, Zeno models and bifurcations under unilateral constraints are considered. Useful features of the proposed Lyapunov function constructions are illustrated on Hamilton-Jacobi PDE approach. Extension to the boundary control of a heat process is presented. Lyapunov redesign is applied in the inifinite-dimensional setting for adaptive identification of linear distributed parameter systems and time-delay systems. Engineering control applications such as a robust stabilization of a bipedal gait under unilateral constraints as well as sine-Gordon energy control are given.
