It is best to begin this review with the author's final result. Denote by \(\mathbb{T}_{\Lambda}^3\) the \(3\)-torus that is the quotient of Euclidean space \(\mathbb{E}^3\) by the lattice \(\Lambda\), and let \(\pi_{\Lambda}\) be the quotient map. If \(\mathcal{P}_{\Lambda}\) is a regular polyhedron in \(\mathbb{T}_{\Lambda}^3\), then there is a regular polyhedron \(\mathcal{P}\) in \(\mathbb{E}^3\) such that \(\mathcal{P}_{\Lambda} = \pi_{\Lambda}(\mathcal{P})\). What precedes this therefore is a description of those lattices \(\Lambda\) that are compatible with each given regular polyhedron or apeirohedron \(\mathcal{P}\) (the pentagonal polyhedra naturally make no contribution).
