The authors investigate spectral theory for a perturbed Stark Hamiltonian on the Euclidean space \({\mathbb R}^d\) of dimension \(d \geq 2\). The space variable of \({\mathbb R}^d\) is splitted as \((x,y)=(x,y_2,\dots, y_d)\in {\mathbb R}\times {\mathbb R}^{d-1}\). The Stark Hamiltonian is given by \[ H=\frac{1}{2}\left(p_x^2 + p^2_{y_2} + \cdots p^2_{y_d}\right) - x + q, \quad p=-i\partial, \] where \(q\) is a multiplication operator by a real-valued function \(q \in L^2_{\mathrm{loc}}({\mathbb R}^d)\) (with more regularity for \(d \geq 4\)). It is also assumed that \(q\) has a weaker growth rate at infinity than the Stark field (actually allowing sub-linear growth at infinity). The authors select special \textit{escape function} \(f\) related to parabolic coordinates and define associated Besov-type spaces. The main results of the paper under review are the following. \(\bullet\) Rellich's theorem, which asserts the absence of generalized eigenfunctions from Besov space (this result implies that there is no pure point spectrum for \(H\)). \(\bullet\) The limiting absorption principle and absence of singular continuous spectrum for \(H\). \(\bullet\) Radiation condition bounds for \(R(z)=(H-z)^{-1}\), which describe the leading oscillation of the resolvent \(R(z)\) along \(\text{grad} f\). This bound, as in the classical case, leads to uniqueness result (in Besov space). Most of these results are stated and proved in sharp form.
