This paper extends to various types of structures the first-order weighted integral method of Takeda. The authors propose a theoretical formulation employing an infinite series expansion of basic variables. The developed method is validated and illustrated by numerical experiments, and it is shown that the proposed scheme can be performed with tolerable computational expense.
