As the author indicates in the Preface, he is going to focus in this monograph on three main issues: \begin{itemize} \item[--] almost periodic solutions to problems with different types of discontinuity, \item[--] new classes of asymptotic equivalent systems, \item[--] a special way to generate chaotic attractors with almost periodic components. \end{itemize} The monograph is splited into following 14 chapters: \begin{itemize} \item[1.] Introduction \item[2.] Generalities for Impulsive Systems \item[3.] Discontinuous Almost Periodic Functions \item[4.] Discontinuous Almost Periodic Solutions \item[5.] Bohr and Bochner Discontinuities \item[6.] Exponentially Dichotomous Linear Systems of Differential Equations with Piecewise Constant Argument \item[7.] Differential Equations with Functional Response on Piecewise Constant Argument \item[8.] Almost Periodic Solutions of Retarded SICNN with Functional Response on Piecewise Constant Argument \item[9.] Differential Equations on Time Scales Through Impulsive Differential Equations \item[10.] Almost Periodicity in Chaos \item[11.] Homoclinic Chaos and Almost Periodicity \item[12.] SICNN with Chaotic/Almost Periodic Postsynaptic Currents \item[13.] Asymptotic Equivalence and Almost Periodic Solutions \item[14.] Asymptotic Equivalence of Hybrid Systems \end{itemize} In Chapter 1, the author focuses on basic notions connected with almost periodicity, chaos and asymptotic behaviour of solutions to differential equations. In the next chapter he introduces impulsive systems and discusses basics of linear homogeneous as well as non-homogeneous systems. One can find also in this chapter, the Gronwall-Bellmann Lemma for piecewise continuous functions. Chapter 3 is devoted to discontinuous almost periodic functions while Chapter 4 is devoted to discontinuous almost periodic solution, in particular, to systems of impulsive differential equations. In the next chapter, the author discusses Bohr discontinuous almost periodic functions. In particular, this chapter contains the Bochner criterion and the Amerio and Favard Theorems. The next four chapters are devoted to differential equations and systems of differential equations. In particular, the author discusses therein linear systems of differential equations with piecewise constant arguments, differential equations with functional response, a new model for shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks and differential equations on time scales devoted to almost periodicity in chaos, homoclinic chaos and almost periodicity of exponential decaying input currents and rectangular input currents. In the last two chapters the author focusses on asymptotic equivalence of almost periodic solutions and asymptotic equivalence of hybrid systems. At the end of each chapter one can find extensive references. Moreover, majority of chapters contains a historical introduction into a topic under consideration. This monograph can be interesting to mathematicians dealing, for example, with almost periodicity as well as to other specialists who could apply models discussed therein.
